A new presentation about the village and its surroundings has been compiled and uploaded for readers to enjoy.

Entitled A Short History of Eaglesham, the online project was compiled by Eaglesham History Society Secretary Kenneth Mallard.

Among other things, it includes information about the origins of the village name, the history of the Montgomerie family, the battle of Otterburn and the site of Polnoon Castle.
