26 Sep ORRY SURVEY: AN UPDATE

Plans are going well for our proposed geophysical survey of the Orry, which will see us teaming up with Northlight Heritage.

The survey will see us examine the area roughly bounded by Montgomery Street and the Eaglesham Burn, running up from the Glebe to the Wishing Well Tearoom.

We hope to find evidence of the old village prior to 1769, and will update you on our findings in the coming months.

We’re also planning to run a series of workshops for both Eaglesham Primary and Williamwood High Schools, as well as some displays and exhibitions for the local community.
